Act 2:1-16 NASB When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. (2) And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. (3) And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. (4) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. (5) Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven. (6) And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language. (7) They were amazed and astonished, saying, "Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans? (8) "And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born? (9) "Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, (10) Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, (11) Cretans and Arabs--we hear them in our own tongues speaking of the mighty deeds of God." (12) And they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another, "What does this mean?" (13) But others were mocking and saying, "They are full of sweet wine." (14) But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words. (15) "For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the third hour of the day;
An excerpt from the writings of Tony Sharpe Senior Minister, Christianworld Church
But you must get it into your minds that the first three festivals - the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and Pentecost or the Feast of Firstfruits, all fell at the beginning of the year. And all the events that they picture are a pictoric type of the start of God's plan of salvation: Pentecost being pictorial of the firstfruit harvest. The next group of Holy Days, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Ingathering, and the Great Last Day, all come towards the end of the year, and all occur in the seventh month.
So we have the small harvest near the beginning of the year, and we have the much, much larger harvest near the end of the year, symbolised by the Feast of Tabernacles, which was called the great Ingathering. Notice: not the small ingathering, but the great Ingathering. As we have already said, Exodus 34:22 says: "And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering (Feast of Tabernacles: a later harvest) at the year's end."
Can you see? Two different harvests, at different times. One only a small firstfruit harvest, and one a much greater harvest.
Do you know that the earlier harvest was also known as the feast of Firstfruits?
Numbers 28:26 says, of Pentecost: "Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the LORD at your Feast of Weeks…"
This harvest foreshadowed only the firstfruit harvest, and symbolised only a few which were to be harvested, before the great ingathering at the end of the year.

Vs. (16) but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
Act 2:17-18 NASB+ 'AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST2078 DAYS2250,' God2316 says3004, 'THAT I WILL POUR1632a FORTH1632a OF MY SPIRIT41
51 ON ALL3956 MANKIND4561; AND YOUR SONS5207 AND YOUR DAUGHTERS2364 SHALL PROPHESY4395, AND YOUR YOUNG3495 MEN3495 SHALL SEE3708 VISIONS3706, AND YOUR OLD4245 MEN4245 SHALL DREAM1797 DREAMS1798; (18) EVEN2532 ON MY BONDSLAVES1401, BOTH MEN1401 AND WOMEN1401, I WILL IN THOSE1565 DAYS2250 POUR1632a FORTH1632a OF MY SPIRIT4151 And they shall prophesy4395. [telling forth the divine counsels and predicting future events pertaining especially to God's kingdom].What do you think of that when it comes, that it “POURS OUT on EVERYONE” a “RAIN STORM” and according to this prophecy there is a “STORM OF THE SPIRIT” coming that is going to pour out on “ALL MANKIND” vs 17
When it Rains everyone gets wet!!!!!!God makes it rain on the just and the unjust. If you don't like that you will have to take it up with God. I personally am glad He makes it rain on the unjust........
Greek for “pour out”
G1632
ekcheō FmG1537 (to pour); to pour forth; figuratively to bestow: - gush (pour) out, run greedily (out), shed (abroad, forth), spill.
Greek for “ALL”
G3956
pas; a prim. word; all, every: - all (731), all the things (7), all...things (1), all kinds (1), all men (14), all people (4), all respects (3), all things (126), all *(1), always *(3), any (16), any at all (1), anyone (3), anything (3), anything *(1), continually *(6), entire (4), every (128), every form (1), every kind (9), every respect (1), every way (2), everyone (71), everyone’s (1), everyone *(1), everything
Greek For Flesh or Mankind
G4561
sarx; a prim. word; flesh: - bodily (1), bodily condition (1), body (2), earth (1), earthly (1), fellow countrymen (1), flesh (129), fleshly (4), life (3), man (1), mankind (1), nation (1), personally (1).
Vincent’s word studies for this verse says:
Act 2:17 -
All flesh
Without distinction of age, sex, or condition.
Another point I need to make is that although Jesus Christ came at one time in the flesh to mankind; He now comes to us as "The Christ Spirit” that is “Holy Spirit”
There is a great difference in Jesus and The Christ. Although you cannot separate Jesus from Christ or Christ from Jesus; He is the head of the body of Christ. The Christ was actually around a long time before the birth of Jesus. The people of God drank from a rock that the apostle Paul called "Christ". That was about 1500 years before Jesus 1Cor. 10:4. The Bible many times speaks of The Christ as the Body of believers 1Cor. Chapter 12. And also expands the idea to include all in The Christ. Let all that have ears to hear; hear what the Spirit is saying.
Eph 1:10 KJV That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
gh Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
SO.......Christ-Jesus IS the Spirit/Rain that falls on all. So ALL WILL RECEIVE CHRIST. When God pours out the Rain of the Spirit on all mankind you are going to get wet wether you like it or not. Jesus Christ went away but came back as The Christ/ Holy Spirit on the day of Penticost and God has promised that He will pour out His Spirit (Christ Jesus) on ALL flesh/mankind…….in the last days. What is/are the last days? Last days of what? That age? This age? The coming age? Our life? Well you might say I believe someone would know it when they get wet. OK........ would you know what had happened if you had never been wet? Would they confess the NAME of JESUS as Lord? What language do you speak. What language does God speak? What version of the bible does God use to judge? Well what is a name in the bible but the underlying meaning? What does the name of JESUS mean…….It means “The Eternal one Saves” So what would confessing the NAME OF JESUS be? Would Jesus pour himself out on all these rotten sinners? Well did he make his presence and mercy known to those kinds of people when He was on earth? Of course He did; even MORE than He was around the “religious leaders”. Why did He do that…….to show that His relationships were not restricted to the ones you think are the “right ones” but to All the others to. Jesus once said that "it was the sick that needed a Doctor." But only those who realize they are sick will go to the Doctor. If you think your OK then you wont go.Much of this was coming to me as Bishop Swilley was ministering in the Spirit.
Psa 143:6 MSG Stretched out my hands to you, as thirsty for you as a desert thirsty for rain.
Psa 126:4 GNB LORD, make us prosperous again, just as the rain brings water back to dry riverbeds.
1Ki 17:14 MSG This is the word of the GOD of Israel: 'The jar of flour will not run out and the bottle of oil will not become empty before GOD sends rain on the land and ends this drought.'"

As I look out at the parched and dry land of the peoples of the world; my heart goes out to them and My God answers me with wonderful hope and blessings. I see the rain clouds forming; I see the silver lining, I see the wind of the Spirit began to pick up. And I know it is going to RAIN!!!
Psa 65:9-10 MSG Oh, visit the earth, ask her to join the dance! Deck her out in spring showers, fill the God-River with living water. Paint the wheat fields golden. Creation was made for this! (10) Drench the plowed fields, soak the dirt clods With rainfall as harrow and rake bring her to blossom and fruit.
God has promised and I see his word coming alive in the now. Not just a beautiful old prophecy to be quoted for its eloquence and rhythm. But a real word for TODAY!!!
Psa 84:4-6 MSG How blessed they are to live and sing there! (5) And how blessed all those in whom you live, whose lives become roads you travel; (6) They wind through lonesome valleys, come upon brooks, discover cool springs and pools brimming with rain!

Hos 14:4-5 GNB The LORD says, "I will bring my people back to me. I will love them with all my heart; no longer am I angry with them. (5) I will be to the people of Israel like rain in a dry land. They will blossom like flowers; they will be firmly rooted like the trees of Lebanon.
Hab 2:14 MSG Meanwhile the earth fills up with awareness of GOD's glory as the waters cover the sea.
Act 2:16-17 AMP But [instead] this is [the beginning of] what was spoken through the prophet Joel: (17) And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams.PS.
As I am preparing this article it has "suddenly" come up a RAIN STORM AND AN APSOLUTE DOWN-POUR! you cant see the woods a hundred yards from my house! What a CONFIRMATION!
Thank you Heavenly Father; that is wierd how you do things like this. but I love it!.......Amen
Shalom,

That's some good reading and comments there Dennis. I'm glad to see y'all made it back home safe and sound.
You know, this is probably a little irreverent, but as I was reading some of those scriptures on your blog I guess I made a little joke about when Peter got up and was preaching to all the folks outside the upper room.
You know where he says, "For these men are not drunk as you suppose for it is only the third hour of the day." The way it is worded you could almost think he could have said, "For these men are not drunk as you suppose for it is only the third hour of the day,....but if you come back around 3 o'clock this afternoon,... well I ain't saying what may happen between now and then."
Hey Donald, Glad you liked it. You know I have had that same thought about the third hour (SMILE) Like that would be OK if it were around Happy Hour!!!....Actually I am still working on that post the server is going screwy and lost the last update that I tried to post. Thanks Donald
Peace,
Dennis
